Art at the Library: Portrait studies of utopian high society and other down to earth individuals

December 10, 2019 @ 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm

A new exhibition features Newton artist Guy Loraine’s paintings of traditional quilt blocks on fragments of Amana Colonies blanket ends. The unique pairing of Midwest crafts with German heritage recalls Iowa’s history of German settlement and contrasts it with contemporary life.
